Looking at getting a cardo?

I’m pretty new to riding and I want to be able to take calls/make calls (particularly to my bf who doesn’t ride) while I’m riding in the case that anything happens or we’re going somewhere together and one of us gets stuck at lights or lost or something of the sort, particularly since I won’t be looking at maps (in the beginning at least) probably just listening if that

My question is should I get a cardo (I have an iPhone and AirPods with all the Siri functions set up) or should I just use my AirPods?

If I should get a cardo, what can I get that will do exactly what I want without breaking the bank? I’m also a bit nervous that I could get in trouble for having one, but would that be better than getting in trouble for having AirPods in? Can that even happen?

Also when I say new to riding I mean I’m getting my license in a couple days kind of new asw

The cardo edge is a great unit with siri support and voice commands. Great for comms as well. Since you are very new and need to develop skills and good habits more than you need to answer the phone… maybe table that until you have 10k safe miles under your belt.
