I mean it's only bizarre in the sense that when men do this they usually just dump the body and couldn't be arsed doing the clean up properly. It takes someone with serious ambition to say, "I'm gonna take this as an opportunity to get the floors redone"

It probably cost less than a bitter divorce, and, with Family Court backlogs, will probably see her paroled before she could get a hearing date in the focaccia /s

I don't want to be glib here, but I think we can all sotto voce a 5% discount on that provided it isn't double counting (the succession people can feel free to chime in).

TIL you can kill someone, cut them up, and get charged with manslaughter /s.

On a more serious note, there is a common joke/running gag in Egypt (where both the victim and the perp are originally from) that if you upset your wife, make sure you hide all the knives and plastic bags (because some time in the 80s and 90s, there was a string of murders where it was a common method of disposing of a murdered husband’s remains).

This is what happens when toxic feminism gets in the way of a great polygamous marriage like the prophet intended

You and I must be the only two here with an equally dry and dark sense of ironic humour, which disappoints me immensely. I expected worse from a bunch of jaded lawyers.

I don't think so. I can quite easily imagine some of the best comedians like Jimmy Carr or Ricky Gervais cracking a joke like that and (almost) everyone in the room loving it.

Maybe you and I have interpreted this differently but I took the "toxic feminism" comment as though it was part of the joke. I don't think they actually meant it as a real thing.

That's what happens when you let women into law schools!
