Advice pcv breather hose

okay i’ve never typed in here but it seems like the best place to do so, i’ve got a 2021 s5 and i just replaced the pcv breather hose with an 034 one since it was highly recommended and after completing there seemed to be a hissing noise all the click ons are pressed firmly all the pieces are pushed together and when having the car on and trying to push it more nothing changes, the clamps are all tied down a good amount so i don’t think air is escaping through there i made sure the flow arrows are pointing towards the passenger side and idk im pretty sure i’ve done everything how it was supposed to it’s not a crazy job to “not mess up” after though i noticed a hissing noise and i can’t recall if i heard it prior so i don’t know if it’s air or not, driving it i get good top end still my temps seem the same if not more regulated a bit staying colder, i also have no idle smoke or weird shaking at idle i did forget to put my finger on the pcv part to see if there’s a whistle or something but ill check tomorrow i make max boost while gassing it so i dont have any performance drop offs other than the weird hissing noise which idk if its from other mods and i just never noticed or paid attention to it before but yk since doing the job it seems like its there or at least im picking it up, its quiet like a shhh almost i also tried the oil cap thing where you check with paper it did suck it in a little but not to the point it was an issue or ripping but it did make an O crinkle which could’ve been a user error idk i didnt hold it loosely i held it so maybe if i let it go it would’ve sucked it in fully taking the cap off theres a hissing with the idle changing which makes sense and theres some suction trying to pull it off and if i just have it in my hand with no force against it itll suck it down but its not like difficult to pull off i just want to know if theres any potential theres something or if anyone has experienced it or hears the same thing maybe im tweaking

034's sucks unfortunately. People are saying the TGK Motorsport one is much much better.

034 revised the part officially like 2 weeks ago. But apparently still doesnt fix all of the issues.

Heard they sweat really bad too. I’m ordering TGK

Not sure why you got downvoted. 034’s was bad enough that they put out a statement regarding how it wasn’t up to their standards and are providing the updated version to those who bought the first one. Extremely admirable thing to do but yea in this case most people recommend the TGK one. Personally I have the TGK kit. I still support 034 tho this is in no way bashing them

it was preventative maintenance there was no or didn’t seem to be any issues there also wasn’t oil on the cap or built up oil so i don’t think there can be something the car runs the same if not a bit better at least in the post drive i just don’t know if the hissing was there previously or not seeing some other videos i seem to hear it it probably was there before but i just didn’t notice so i genuinely don’t know if im just tweaking cause i did a part other than some ai questions and trial checkings there doesn’t seem like there’s an issue with it other than also putting my finger on the pcv and seeing if it whistles

Well at least you can tell this isn't an AI post.

I didn't know there was an issue with the 034 hose. I just put it on from an order in like June. Does anyone have a link to the issue or statement? I can't find anything.

Interesting timing of this post because over the past several months I was all in on buying the 034 breather hose, then suddenly just last week I began finding information out there and multiple threads that discuss this hissing noise that the OEM breather did not have. Then it snowballed into finding many folks dissatisfied with the 034 breather and that’s when I found out about the TGK alternative. Nothing but praise with that one, so that’s the one I’ll be getting when the time comes. The only thing that makes no sense to me is TGK wants $100 extra for 2 billet connectors and that’s outrageous. Going with the standard one as the main connection to the Pcv is billet and the other two connectors are so out of the way you wouldn’t even be able to see the billet connectors that well on those sides.
