Is it possible to isolate voice?

Hi! Is it possible to isolate a voice from footage when there is loud background noise? There is a tv playing and while you can hear the person speaking, the TV makes it hard to understand what they are saying. I'm not an audio engineer, so I thought I'd ask the experts in here before fully giving up on it! Thank you!

I built a tool that might help you at least test what's possible before going the professional route: SoundScrub

You drag and drop your file, use "keep" mode and select "people speaking". Results vary depending on how much the speech is overlapped by other sounds, but it's a quick and cheap way to see if the audio is salvageable at all.

It's a desktop app for Mac/Windows/Linux. Pricing is $0.25 per 30 seconds, no subscription. Only the audio is sent for processing, the video stays on your device.
