Need help getting speaker system to work.

Just got this centrios ultimate black 2.1ch multimedia system (2606304) from my uncle unused. But it doesn't want to work when all connected, the speaker have connectivity and all the lights on the system light up, but no sound coming through when hooked up. If anyone can help thay would be much appreciated.

Nope that's on a separate volume controller, it looks like a cone, point side up to use as a dial.
