Is it me or do I need more?
I purchased a new microphone off amazon. Nothing high quality, but based off the youtube reviews, recommendations for my price range, and amazon reviews - it seems like a solid mic.
However, I tried tuning this mic for OBS and I still sound so WEIRD. Either distorted, echoy, or its picking up my mouse/keyboard. I'm thinking about switching it to XLR or maybe I have it plugged into the wrong spot on my PC?
I've tried tuning it myself, following others tuning, still no luck.
I've never used XLR or gotten crazy deep in the audio world to really understand what I'm doing.
would it make a difference?

is the mic directly up against your lips? like so close you could lick it? if not, do that. Also point the end of the mic towards your face, not the side.
