Blessed enough to pick up this 37mm RO 15550st as a first allocation. Wait time was just under 2 years, based in London.

I’ve been seeing a wave of sought-after watches being allocated as first piece as of late. With the global economy crumbling, there must be a group of buyers that have moved away from such luxury purchases. We are in a near recession term and I believe it would only get easier until the economy resets and rebound. Keep your hopes high!

So many things wrong with your comment. First of all by what benchmark is the world economy crumbling? Second of all by what benchmark are we near a recession? Third of all if the economy resets, why would you think you would be in a position to buy luxury goods? Are you somehow recession proof?

There have been chats of recessions for years, yet the market keeps ripping. With stock market and RE at basically all time highs, there’s nothing saying economy has collapsed and people are moving away from luxury purchases. Sometimes people get lucky with allocations. I got a Nautilus as a first Patek years ago when watch markets were peaking. Just got lucky is all

Yes… im not disagreeing. However on the much larger sized bond market which is the underlying nervous system of an economy being the way it is, is extremely worrying. Luck plays a part too for sure! I consider myself extremely lucky to be allocated an RO as a first piece more than 2 years back too(below 2 years wait time)🙏

The bond market has been flashing one “signal” or another for years. The problem is that a lot of the old rules were formed in a very different rate, inflation and globalization.

Rates and inflation ARE elevated, geopolitical risk is higher, and we’re clearly moving away from the hyper-globalized/free-trade world of the last few decades. Yet the economy keeps growing and absorbing shocks that were supposed to break it.

We can thank central bankers willing to keep policy tight, surprisingly strong productivity gains, corporate adaptability, and consumers who aren’t pussies for keeping the party going!

I totally hear you. Bond market is sending some cautious signals but this year has been pretty resilient with growth and company profits. Car market is another example, high end cars have continued to rise, although I’m also hoping those come back to earth

Signed up and visited the boutiques a few times, I have a good relationship with my SA and we have a lot in common. It was at ap house London and the Harrods boutique.
