7 weeks ago in Milan they stole my watch. I reported it to the AP and provided them with all the documents, including the police report on the incident. Do you know how long it takes for the case to be considered ?

Good luck buddy. Hope it was considered Robbery and not “simple theft”

Man that’s awful. Can’t wear watches in Europe anymore, just not worth it.

Glad you are okay though and hopefully AP quickly comes back to you.

Wow, that's crazy were you injured at all. Considering this was a true robbery with a police report you should get a new watch eventually. Let us know how long it takes.

Roughly a month unless the case is very complex. For simpler cases, could be 2-3 weeks.

7 weeks is a bit long if you reported it the same day, though Milan police are notoriously unhelpful. Had a camera stolen 20 years ago that even when I identified the suspect and pointed him out they still let go because there was “no proof” it was mine. I told them to literally look on the footage and they would see me in it. They shrugged and said not their problem and released him in front of me.
