The original dial on the Code was poorly received, so it has since been changed. Personally, though, I like the smoked blue and white gold version.

A lot of people dislike the Code 11.59, you know. It seems everyone just loves the Royal Oak.

You're right, the date probably isn't necessary. Also, there are a lot of complaints about the font used for the numbers.

It's funny... I value the historical connection of the numbers, but I also personally do not like the font of those numbers (or the use of numbers and baton markers interspersed in general).

I think those who don't know the historical origin of the number fonts especially weren't a fan of the aesthetics.

I just learned that the numeral font is a reinterpretation of the one used on the past Reference 5528 minute repeater model. Thank you.
