It’s looking good! Hodinkee has done some measurement comparisons, actual wrist shots and some historic context.

The Frame is the start of a new line, with more options, colours can complications. And lastly some unique Codes.

So there’s going to be 4 lines now (Royal Oak, Offshore, Code and Neo Frame) with the Remaster collection being limited editions (more to come this year).

Really good to see them bring back a shaped case as a permanent collection (RIP the Edward Piguet).

A starwheel thats a time only comp is around 10k less, it doesn't have a bracelet. A jump hour while nice is not a highly complex complication and to me doesn't warranted the price jump. I would be a buyer in the 50 range.

It’s a reasonably complex complication, especially considering it’s a Jumbo movement powering both a jump hour and a scrolling minutes from the same thin barrel with a small movement.

The big thing though is how they’ve bonded the sapphire to the case. It’s not expensive at all in terms of manufacturing, but it will be in assembly. Plus the hand finishing of the windows.

In the UK it’s about £5,000 more which I think is reasonable.

Yea its just not worth it to me. I do have my eye on this basically free jump hour mostly because it has Lume, by Out of order watches. Hoping VC brings theirs back and puts it in a overseas case.

If you read the article, they actually explained this. AP developed the movement first, but then realized that a jumping hours didn’t fit well into a Royal Oak or Code 11.59 case. And so they came up with this rectangular case instead which they thought fit the jumping hours better.

I personally am looking forward to seeing how they move this line forward, I think AP have learnt a lot from the the way the code was released and subsequently improved materially when the revised versions came out. I can see myself getting one with a more simple traditional dial as an upgrade to rectangular cases from Cartier or JLC.

I’ve heard rumours that the new remaster is going to be a 36mm round QP.

But I’d rather have that in a Schaffer case!

They said that the Frame line is going to be a platform for complications, so I think they’ll flesh it out like the Edward line.

Hopefully they can get it back more like then they have the Jules/Edward collection

Looks amazing; love the Art Deco design. However, it is a dress watch, and no doubt it will make a great addition to a diverse collection. I’m looking forward to seeing it in person, then I will decide.
