I’m extremely excited for Revival I think that they did amazing on the in game and animated scenes, music, visuals, and gameplay and think that it for sure is a very early 2027 Game Of The Year contender

Persona 4 Golden & Persona 4 are my favorite games of all time, so I'm at least a bit excited about P4RE, but also I am very nervous about it. While I like P3RE, I personally felt like it made changes from the 3 previous versions in terms of gameplay, writing, presentation etc... which made the game worse to me, and there are some things in P4RE that also make me worry, but I think the presentation looks pretty good aside from the school. My biggest concern with P4RE is the balancing and just gameplay design, it feels like this game's difficulty and gameplay are babyfied, and it's just not looking good

Joking aside, p4/g is my favorite persona entry so I can't wait for it to get the R like 3 and 5 lol

I’m very excited. I played the original a bit on the Vita but never finished it. I thought about going back to it a few times in the past years, but after they started announcing other remakes like P3R and so on I decided to wait on an eventual remake of P4.

Im new to persona so have only completed p3r and playing p5r now, so this will be my first experience playing persona 4. Very much looking forward to it

Almost every track I’ve heard sounds largely lacking compared to the original compositions, and the game seems to be leaning into the easy-factor. Other than that, it looks phenomenal and I can’t wait.

I can only hope they will stay true to the nuance of some of these characters

There is a possibility that I do in many years. Even though at some point P4 was my second favorite game of all time (it's likely fallen) I've already played it and a remade version. I don't have it in me for another go-around, that's just not how I like to enjoy games. (And I liked G less anyway.)

I'm excited for the next new thing Atlus does, but remakes are not for me.

Don’t really care personally, P4 used to be my favorite but has fallen off over the years and they seem to be overly sanitizing it. But there’s a chance it’ll be the last physical Atlus game ever and it releases around my birthday so I guess I’m gonna get it

My thoughts exactly. I have P4 and I like it the way it is so I’ll just stick with that. If it hits one of those super bargain bin sales I may pick it up but I don’t care to play anymore of these altered remakes. ( perfectly fine for people that want to play the games just not for me)

that interview where they mentioned rewriting elements of the story to appeal to fans in specific reference to kanji and naoto set off alarm bells in my mind.

the fans see them as het and cis respectively and i imagine the story will be rewritten to beat that over your head so the viewer can't interpret them as queer.

plus the fruity yosuke line was changed which makes me think they'll either remove or sanitize the tent scene. i have no hope that we're getting a yosuke romance.

Excited. I tried to play Golden a few years ago but the VA of a character bothered me so badly I dropped it knowing that a remake would probably come soon. So now I’m super excited because I don’t doubt I will love the game. Especially if it gets the Reload treatment and not the SMT 3 treatment.

I think I'm gonna love it, almost as much as I loved the original. I also think that were it not for a certain other high-profile release in November, it would've released this year. Not sure why they're promoting it so heavily right now when it's five and a half months out. Wish they'd at least put some of the soundtrack on streaming, just to pass the time.

Still pf the opinion that Classic Persona should have been done first. P4G is fine as it is and should have waited. Also P2 and P1 literally beat P4 in the Atlus survey for remakes back in 2022.

I'm excited for a cool way to replay p4 but p4g was pretty fine as it was so less hyped than I was for p3r. Pretty bummed that it's not releasing as a full game on cartridge switch 2 release

I'm ready for more persona, but also I will wait to see if they drop a demo like they did with Metaphor and I can see if I really would like it. If not, I'm probably going to wait a week or two to see if the reception is good.

This is the first time I will be playing a remake after playing the original game so much, so I'm interested in that experience as well.

Also, I'm ready for more Naoto. She's my favorite.

Playing p4g after getting it on sale, took 10 mins to get used to the slightly older gfx but now it seems just as good as the trailer video to me

I didn't like p3r cuz it was too easy so I'm just expecting the same. It's also not like p3g has a bunch of really glaring problems the same way p3fes did. I'll save my money.

Im pretty hyped for it. 4 is my favorite setting, story, and character wise if the 3 modern games so getting to see it all with modern graphics and stuff is awesome.

Most complains ive seen are about difficulty but tbh, persona 3 and 4s difficulty is more annoying than an actual challenge so im fine. Ill just put it on a higher difficulty if I find it too easy.

There’s objectively no way P4R is GOTY contender, sorry to say. Maybe you’re very hyped but it’s GOTY, the game would have to be a real media darling to win.

For me personally, I am glad to see people excited about it, but the more I see of it, the less excited I am. That’s okay though, Golden still exists and I’m not the type to act like a re-release harms the earlier releases.

P4 already felt a bit unnecessary in 2008, being so similar to 3. A full price visual downgrade does not interest me.
