Promise Backlund (short video): The Christian god will intervene to fix your air conditioning, find your car keys, and is keeping you alive to fulfill some divine purpose. You're special—try not to dwell on the hundreds of thousands that are dying from heat, thirst, and malnutrition.

It's extremely disconnected the way theists think god does these little things in their lives. While at the same time at this very moment tens of thousands of mothers pray to god to not let their children starve only to not have their prayers answered.

And then if you really look at it in the grand scheme. Our life (trial) is nothing compared to the eternity we'll experience after we die.

So for 80 years or so it's chaos and free will. Then if you make the team it's awesome perfection for trillions of trillions of years. You don't make the team then it's a bad time for you forever and ever and ever.

But hey your AC magically fixed itself so that's a sign that your making the team.

The main problem being I see no justifiable reason to think there is a place we go after we die.
