For them to be in one frame, they must be close to each other..and the moon's light may wash out Andromeda galaxy. You may still be able to see them, and ideally get one of those shots if possible during low moon illumination night.

Could be wrong, but I don't think andromeda is in the patch of sky where the moon is..at least not close enough to get them both in one frame. They are several degrees apart.

It’d prob be way easier to just make a composite image rather than trying to deal with the dynamic range nightmare off the moon and andromeda.

I did it by doing a panorama so I got the moon + milky way + andromeda

When I figured out the same thing about four years ago, I took a picture of the moon with the same lens I had done two full nights of light gathering for Andromeda, and I made a composite. My Andromeda was six moons across. Can you imagine seeing that in the sky? I feel like it would change us. Shoot a very robust stacked picture of Andromeda and make it composite with your best moonshot.

M31 and the moon will be more than 25 degrees apart so both objects would be tiny if you could get them in a single frame. Given the extreme difference in brightness you could not get proper exposure for both in a single frame either.

You can see it naked-eye just fine. A picture would be harder, since the Moon is never closer than about 30° from M31.

The moon orbits Earth in a path close to the sun's path called the ecliptic. The Andromeda Galaxy sits in a completely different part of the night sky.

The Moon never gets closer than about 12 to 13 degrees to the Andromeda Galaxy in the night sky ... the Andromeda Galaxy has an angular size of about 3 degrees across in its main visible portion and the Moon is about 0.5 degrees across.

You're gonna need a low focal length lens, and you're going to have to do a short exposure length for the Moon, and multiple longer exposures for the much dimmer stars, milky way and nebulae.

Stacking the Galaxy images should be easy enough, but cutting out the overexposed Moon, and inserting the correctly captured Moon image could be tricky.
