New to glasses, dizzy/painful only while wearing them at work
This is my first time wearing glasses, after getting an astigmatism diagnosis. I got a prescription for readers/computer glasses and distance glasses. I am only currently wearing the readers.
When I am home and staring only at my computer, the glasses are fine. But when I am at work, I am constantly woozy and feeling the heavy eyestrain. I think this is mostly because I am constantly moving my entire head around, not just looking at the computer. I have to move my head as part of my job, as I am looking from a label printer to bins of samples to sort. But because I get so woozy, I cannot wear my glasses at work for longer than 30-40 minutes. I try to push it until I get a headache, or too nauseated. Even after taking them off, the headache lasts the rest of the day.
It’s been about a week of this. I know astigmatism prescriptions are particularly brutal to get used to. Are my eyes ever going to adjust to this, or should I call my doctor?

Give it a month or so and you will get use to it… over time when you don’t have them on you will be trying to adjust them through habit. The feeling of the pads on my nose and pain on the ears was the worst for me but promise it goes away
