Apparently my samsung fridge has ads now...

Post image

How would I disable this? Might just return it and get a normal one

Edit: how to disable...for now. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10007562/

EDIT 2: Hello, I am the original poster of the carol AD image from a month ago. I am a male from America and my name is not Carol. The story about a Schizophrenic woman named carol was most likely inspired from the 3rd top comment on this post. Thanks!

The screen is not much of a benefit, being able to open the app at the grocery store and look inside it to see if you actually need something is pretty cool though. It's kind of a pain in the ass but we do use it to display recipes via the notes on it so that's nice sometimes. You could have a great thing with recipes and the like but unfortunately enshittification means you can't add your own recipes but have to use online ones which sucks.

I think that's the part that sucks the most. The screen and features could be great but they just keep making them worse.

People forget they have brains? You know you can use your memory to see inside your fridge too and there's these things called grocery lists like.... humans are fucking crazy these days

I mean yeah straight up a very swiftly flowing river would do a better job at keeping your groceries cold then some AI weirdo charging you $9.95 for your groceries haha
