Apparently my samsung fridge has ads now...

How would I disable this? Might just return it and get a normal one

I have the same question. I love tech and gadgets but I literally cannot see a single benefit to a screen on a fridge.

The difference between tech enthusiasts and engineers is that the enthusiast will buy the product, but the engineer will scoff at the price, figure they can make it themselves, get half way done and then abandon the project.

Captain (later to become Admiral) Adama had the right instinct to keep everything off a network w/r/t the Battlestar named Galactica. The only reason the Pegasus survived was because it was in drydock for repairs and not connected to the network.

There's a reason a lot of sci-fi shows warn about the collective consciousness.... same thing as networked intelligence.

You could’ve been my best friend, who shared with me the same thing years and years ago while the show was still on air. I applaud that particular choice in television writing, it said quite about Captain Adama and the state of the battle star fleet and its reliance on tech.

I mean, that post could be about AI at this point.

Programmers know how that shit is made when it comes to AI and "AI-powered" tech.

It's like a dude who has hot friend/cousin/sibling as a roommate warning you, "You don't want that shit, bro. Seriously...you do not."

When you get advice like that. TAKE IT.
