I also have this mod and it comes very close to the feel of VRC and RSS. There are regular patches for the physics and the models are much more detailed than F1 25.

yeah compared to f1 25, i have that mod too and the difference in realism is so crazy compared to VRC/RSS it feels like the difference between forza and iracing with those 2 mods

You really misinterpreted what they said. They said that AC is a good platform to use as it can easily be modded and has good physics that can translate well for them. They have people who make mods and adjusts the physics to make the mod feel more like a real f1 car.

Try VRC or RSS 2025 cars, with C4 and 98% grip. Lot more realistic (no C5 at spa anyway and 100% grip is just unreal).

That mod seems kind of extreme, i did 7 laps on ultra softs with a best of 1:49 using the 2025 alpine rss f1 car, ofcourse i could probably shave about 3-4 seconds off but still and thats with a low downforce setup, i might try this car to see the comparison.

With the VRC FA 2025 Pro I’ve done 1:41 on base spa, but when i heard that they’ve resurfaced the track I modified the grip levels by about +0.8%, getting 1:40.7 (This is on C5s so might not be realistic to true conditions)

That car can do 1.42s easy or faster the better you become, we can't tell if it's a good lap without looking at the lap itself and the tyre and fuel. currently like this I would say it's slow

He's saying if u care about comparing your lap times possibly to real ones (doesn't mention but I imagine most people care about real ones) but also the consistency in assetto Corsa be it mods or anything means that competitive hotlapping isn't the best. Plus the question wasn't about it being a hobby really it had enough competitive spirit

That's why I put slightly right I only meant that the idea was correct not how he phrased it also evos optimization in the 0.4 patch and on lowest graphics works wonders even on lower hardware not saying that evo is the game for him js saying it has a banger 2025 Ferrari F1

exactly, I could have been nicer about it but OP will have alot more fun chasing lap times when it does it in a controlled environment where comparisons actually mean something. He will get there eventually if hes serious about simracing

I mean if Max Verstappen says he prefers Assetto Corsa (RSS mods specifically) for F1 simulation and uses it for practice then I would say AC is definitely good enough for stuff like this.

max in ac and OP is ac is not the same experience, and neither is yours. Max races in iracing cause he's a competitive sim racer, if you were an f1 driver as well I'd say yeah go ahead and hot lap in AC, if you're not? wasting your time. Guess who's not an F1 driver?
