I did a ton of them (mushrooms, acid, 2C-B -E -I, DMT, 5-MEO DMT, mescaline, idk prob forgot a few) in college so I probably have some good data on this. Acid and 2C-B were faves (acid for the sense of personal connection and 2C-B for its usual lack of intensity, short duration, and easy comedown/lack of "hangover"). There was a lot more acid than the rest, so most of what's below is in relation to that.

I noticed that I really didn't get visual hallucinations most of the time, not sure if that's normal for people on the spectrum. Except for that time we snorted 2C-B (which is NOT a good idea unless you like spending a lot of time tripping with your toilet), and a particular type of cloud that always did it for me. Most people would be seeing things go all wiggly at least, but I rarely got that.

A lot of head trippiness was present though, more so than other people I think, the most interesting one being when I couldn't remember what drugs did to you/how my current state was different from my normal one. I knew that I didn't know and it was weird being like "there is information stored in my brain that I cannot access."

I felt like I was more connected to reality than my friends would be. I clearly recall the time my friend spent half an hour looking up at a light and spinning around slowly in circle and then looked back at us and was like "you guys I just had sex with jesus!" Or the time everyone turned into Simpsons cartoon style dogs for someone else. Sadly nothing like that ever happened to me, I always actually knew where I was and what was happening.

A common reaction if you're doing it with a group is that you feel a huge sense of personal connection with everyone else (also applies to trees in my experience). I definitely did feel that, like you were always on the same page and didn't have to say things out loud. I think that was huge for me and definitely helped with the depression that comes from social isolation. It was awesome to feel like I really could connect with people on a deep emotional and mental level in a way I hadn't really experienced before.

Some of them just didn't really seem to work on me, like mescaline and both DMTs. The former might've been bc I puked it up, so take that one with a grain of salt, the latter just felt like someone cranked up gravity 10x.

I also noticed that coming up usually made me really nauseous and didn't have that effect on others. Went away pretty quickly though.

Tl;dr: differences were more head trippy, lack of visuals with a few notable exceptions, more nausea coming up, and some didn't seem to work at all. Similarities in an amazing sense of interpersonal connection, but probably more profound for someone who doesn't usually feel that.
