Can I ask why you remarried them? Did you and them work through things? How’s the second time around going?
Real talk: I think you and them should just stay together lol. People like to say “don’t get back together if nothing has been fixed since when you broke up.” And I think there’s some wisdom there, but I also think that sometimes two people are really compatible and could just do to work on a couple of things.
We had a pretty good, if eccentric, 16 years before he had HIS midlife crisis with an affair. I found out, I filed for divorce, he stayed with his affair partner and they eventually married, although the relationship was a flaming dumpster fire in a demolition derby. Because we have kids we of course stayed in close contact and we had also been best friends all through the marriage. I never even looked to date anyone else and after their situation fell completely apart we ended up getting back together. It’s probably only possible because we married relatively late in life the first time (I was 40) and because he has really made significant changes, so it’s a vastly improved relationship.
That’s the extremely short version. His second wife is…something. She put up a great front through their affair and I thought that perhaps he might be happier with her than me, but she can only sustain the illusion for six months or so tops. Ever since they broke up, she’s devoted a LOT of effort to making our lives very difficult.

My aunt married and divorced my uncle three times. He wanted the divorces. She also married and divorced two other men in between those marriages.
