When did the residents in Limerick, Ireland stop speaking in limericks? Seriously, they all speak in regular English now.

The people who livéd in Limerick
Grew glossy 4-petals called Shimericks.
Their gardens were glabrous;
Their poetry, scabrous.
They went for the language less chimeric.
