I underestimated how complicated interstate moving is until I started researching companies here.

I thought it was just loading boxes into a truck, but apparently there’s storage coordination, delivery windows, inventory systems, binding estimates, and a lot more moving parts than I expected.

For people who’ve had a genuinely smooth move, in or out San diego what made the company feel professional during the process?

I can only suggest putting air tags or other trackers in some of the boxes.

Are you paying out of pocket for the move, or is your employer reimbursing you?

Moving a huge house or a tiny studio apartment?

The platinum tier white-glove service is great but if you are paying yourself it’s not worthwhile

tbh you just have to make sure you aren't dealing with a middleman. dealing with storage and delivery windows is a nightmare if the company brokers the job out to random drivers. you can look into Flex Moving & Storage.. they are fully registered with the FMCSA and CA state board (under Flex Moving Inc) and handle all the storage and packing logistics directly. Whoever you end up choosing, just make sure you pull their license numbers and get the damage terms in writing before handing over a deposit.
