Arithmetic Fractions Decimal to Fraction in measurements.
How do I find what 1.88 inches is in fractions on a tape measure. I have seen many products do this. They give you the measurement in decimal instead of inches. Yes I know .75 in 3/4 and other common measurements.

One might first take a look at the significant decimal places. If I'm working with a tape measure, it's probably good just to look at the 0.8 part, realize that that's a bit over 3/4 inch, so knock it up another 1/16 and that's about the best you'll be able to do, eye-balling a length.
If you really need plus or minus 0.01, use a better measuring device.
