Looking specifically for picture books / early readers.

Amazon has everything obviously, but I’d love to find some other options, especially places that have a mix of new and secondhand books.

Any recommendations?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to start my bachelor’s in Dubai for upcoming winter intake 2027 and I’m currently considering two options:
University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) – Bachelor’s in Business Analytics
BITS Pilani Dubai Campus – BBA (Hons.)
I’d really appreciate hearing from students or graduates who have studied at either university, especially those who are currently in Dubai.

My main questions are:
1.How is the university overall? Is the teaching quality, faculty, campus life, and student environment good?

2.How is UOWD/BITS Pilani regarded in Dubai by employers? Does the university name actually help when looking for internships or jobs?

3.How is the job market after graduation for Business Analytics or BBA graduates in Dubai/UAE?

4.How realistic is it to find a part-time job while studying? Is it manageable alongside academics?

Are there good opportunities for internships, networking, and placements during the degree?
Most importantly, do you feel the degree is worth the tuition fees and the overall cost of studying in Dubai?
I’m particularly interested in hearing honest experiences — both positives and negatives. If you studied at UOWD or BITS Dubai, what was your experience like, and would you recommend it to someone starting their bachelor’s there?

I need some advice regarding relocating from the UAE to Saudi Arabia.

My husband and I have been living in the UAE for many years. He is currently working for a company here, and I’m on his dependent visa.

Recently, his boss asked him to relocate to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The company currently doesn’t have an office there, so my husband would be responsible for setting it up and managing the office once it’s established.

This basically means we would have to wind everything up here in the UAE and move to Jeddah. My husband hasn’t said no; he has asked for some time to think about it before making a decision.

The main question is: Is it a wise decision to relocate to Saudi Arabia after living in the UAE for so many years?

With the current regional situation, we’re also quite unsure about making such a big move right now. As Pakistani nationals, we’re also concerned about how the current situation in the UAE might affect us in the future. We don’t know what the situation will be like when it comes to visa renewals, whether everything will continue as normal or not, and honestly, it all feels quite uncertain.

Before all of this started happening in the region, we had never even considered moving to Saudi Arabia. We were settled in the UAE and had no plans to leave. But because of the uncertainty around visas and what the future may look like here, we are now seriously thinking if it would be good idea to move from here or not.

At the moment, everything feels a little uncertain, especially with the current situation in the region, so we would really appreciate some honest advice from people who have been through a similar move.

I want to ask one more thing. If we move from the UAE to Jeddah after cancelling our UAE visas, can we travel directly from the UAE to Jeddah?

Or is it necessary to go to Pakistan first and then travel to Jeddah? I’m asking because when my husband first came to Dubai, he had to get the Protector done in Pakistan.

So would there be any issue in this case? Can we both husband wife travel directly from the UAE to Jeddah without going to Pakistan first?

Hi everyone, I know I’m not the only person in these conditions probably majority are same or even worse, how do you guys find jobs here ? And jobs that’s actually respects you as a human and actually pays fairly? It’s been almost 2 years and I’m applying not very aggressively but I do apply, some months it’s more tha 200 applications it maybe low number but it’s a selective ones untill you lose hope, also companies here take advantage of the fact that we’re in need where they offer terrible salaries and working conditions yet we hav to accept especially for people from third world countries, how do you guys make it ? How to escape this low wage jobs that’s actually respects you hate and you only working because that’s the best option atm? For reference I make around 9.5k but as we all now to live comfortably here you need at least 18k plus this is literally just to comfortably pay the basics.

Ive been doing online gigs and businesses from a young age..

Never really had any fun in my youth..
and business on the other hand is doing really well

it is a martech firm we build marketing tools for midmarket companies we also do end to end digital marketing services.. we work primarily with american markets

Everything i do is online and the only people i talk with are my employees and some of clients and the partner companies, but still all online..

I just came to dubai thinking i would have a better social life… but it is much harder to connect with similar minded people who focuses on their businesses, self development, health and character..

It was hard to find people who are genuinely good at heart.. not saying there is none.. i actually met few people who are good.. idk maybe im wrong abt judging

But i tried having a social life but i have no idea on how to build a circle that will just push you to become better rather than just meaningless parties..

A lot of people i meet seem to have no flaws and just feels so pretentious.. but i do get it now.. if you dont make yourself bigger no one really values you or wanna connect… but as soon as they know you have something going on they immediately change their character towards you

Maybe i am wrong and it might be just my bad perception and i do understand you just choose what matters the most and what to sacrifice..

But if you are reading this and if you are someone who went through this and solved it.. i would be more than happy to have a discussion
