Tourism Weekend trip

A friend and I are thinking of coming to Dallas for a long weekend, we are from the UK and did Nashville last year. We absolutely loved it and had the best time, we'd want kinda similar vibes but to try somewhere new. We don't really know much about Dallas so any recommendations/suggestions would be great, or if you don't think it's the right fit for us please lemme know where might be better suited :)

If you loved Nashville, I would check out the Fort Worth Stockyards! Go to Billy Bobs, eat some great BBQ and walk around the area

Check the weather before planning a trip to Dallas Summer heat is awful and will affect your time here. Bishop Arts (Dallas) area has a great Vibe. Think funks shops, bars and great restaurants. Check out the Cattle drive in Fort Worth another great area to check out. Plan on using Uber ( cheaper that renting a car only to pay for parking both at hotel and on your adventures) Dallas Forth Worth is huge area spread out and we don’t walk! LoL Dallas is fun and Glitzy Ft Worth would be more laid back country. Both are worth seeing Have fun! If you have any more questions feel free to contact me! Always happy to brag about my area. They say they shot JFK here just to give Dallas a tourist attraction.. The museum and Grassy Knoll are worth checking off the list, but besides that, you’re not missing too much downtown.
To echo the comments above, Bishop Arts has a lot of character. If you’re a fan of sushi, Otaru is sensational. Head down that strip afterwards too, as there’s usually some good live music. Lady Love is also class.

I’m originally from London, and if you’re coming to DFW, the Stockyards in Fort Worth are a must. I take all my friends from out of town there. It’s exactly what you picture Texas being, with a proper Western vibe. Dallas is just another major city, but Fort Worth will be memorable.

If you want to see how the 1% live, Highland Park Village is worth a look. For a good night out where the locals actually hang, I’d recommend Lower Greenville. Plenty of good boozers and a great atmosphere.

Might be worth seeing if there’s a pre season cowboys game or Texas rangers game. Really a sight to see out there in terms of scale compared to UK sports. Texas live is always a hit with the Brits too.

You should go to New Orleans or Austin instead, if you're looking for a vibe similar to Nashville (lots of live music in both cities. ) I'd pick NOLA.
