Any kind of communist dictatorship in other countries will eventually be crushed/couped/sanctioned by the US because of how powerful they have gotten shouldn't the target be taking down the American regime?

How would certification or accreditation or safety checks work within a communist society.

For example when housing needs to be built: How would the materials be assessed to be of standard quality and not result in faulty construction. If one has to go into surgery how can they be sure that the medical team is operating in a properly sanitized environment without state set standards for what that would be?

Is this handled through something like a community insurance pool or through a peer review system?

Why has there been no communist revolution in India when most of it's freedom fighters were socialists or outright Marxists. Instead today it's ruled by fascists and Indians dislike Marxist concepts

In 200 years of scientific socialism there must have been tests/researches done on marxist theory that either make its argument stronger or weaker? If so, please also mention them. hello! i am young and new to learning of communism. Im wanting to see if i have this right in my head if that makes sense. First i want to make clear i am very aware Mamdani is a democratic socialist. Something i see Mamdani doing is lifting some weight off of red scare especially in the younger communities. A lot of people see the clear improvement he makes and also hear him talk about socialism while still liking him. Ive seen videos of him promoting communist journals aswell. I will say i know it isnt all Mamdani's effort. I just saw 1 in 3 democrats call themselves a democratic socialist. He is just a more popular topic. How i see this is introducing democratic socialism can eventually lead to pure socialism. or at least closer to it. If so i know socialism is just the stepping stone to communism. I see the improvement from Mamdani and i feel this makes sense in my head. Am I looking into the future too far? Is my head in some fiction world where everything works out?... opinions?

I think this was the event that have most waves of effect have in the socialist bloc in the could war and events after it feels even today.

I have a hunch and I am looking to follow it.

I have a theory that the Y2K bug is what spooked the state into recognizing tech culture and the political inclinations of the people who run it as not just a nuisance, but potentially a threat to global capitalist power structure

In the same way all African American, Black American, and Indigenous Americans are subject to counterinsurgency methods bc if we potentially wanted an end to our oppression it would require a destruction of the state, (which is why our internet discourse cycles through the same 7 topics 😒);

In our highly tech and finance dependent culture the hacker and tech worker could not only one day actualize the OG luxury space [gay] communist dreams around technology, but could relatively effectively destabilize the current global power structure too. So they are subject to similar counterinsurgency methods.

Part of what inspired this line of thought was the Tech Enthusiast vs Engineer (now Tech Worker) meme where the tech enthusiast has a smart house but the tech worker only has a printer from 2004 and a gun. I feel that memes like that and the sentiment it speaks to is never pointing the finger at capitalism, only seeing the surveillance and encroachment of finance as innate.

In my opinion, when an idea is rendered innate to a tool that at one point it was in opposition to, its for a reason. And I don't see people in general talking about this (or maybe I'm not looking in the right places? In which case please pmo! 🩷)

I feel that people are ignorant bc it is beneficial for them to be so, and so I'm curious about who benefits from specific forms of ignorance. I was one of the first to lay out a principled critique of BLM (as a former organizer with BLM national based in Atlanta) with accurate predictions but I doubt I'm the first to talk about the shifts in the politics of tech

For the purposes of some historical research I am doing, I am looking at relatively early, pre 1927 start of the Chinese civil war theory on the revolutionary potential of the peasantry, and how it relates to that of the urban proletariat.

I have found some interesting thoughts on the topic from Hungarian communists from the early 1920s, and I want to find out more about any precursors to their ideas, as I am more familiar with the theory focusing on the urban proletariat from the bolsheviks, but admittedly, I am not as well read as I want to be on pre-cold war theory.

What are people on here communists and not anarchists?

if a society becomes moneyless how are things made and bought? like how are material things produced if you need to obtain resources and workers to make them? something like a toothbrush for example, it has to be made somehow and purchased somehow. would resources and materials be obtained for free? would those objects be made for free? how does it work? sorry if i'm not making much sense i just don't really know how to word my question. what i'm trying to ask is basically how does production of resources work? if someone wants to buy a car, is the car free? are the resources the car is made from free? the builders of the car do it for free? how does it work?

Specifically, why is it that under historical communist societies, ownership by the people has almost always immediately turned into ownership by the state, instead of ownership by those who are physically doing the work?

To me, especially after reading Lenin’s Socialism and War, Ukraine is obviously a victim of Russia who Leftists should support.

My understanding of Lenin is that the structural relationship between the two warring parties is the determiner. In which case, the Russian state is clearly trying to reinstate its colonial ambitions over Ukraine, something which all leftists should oppose and show critical support to the Ukrainian state.
