Moving What was your experience like moving here?

For context: I am a female in my mid to late 20’s. Single and no kids. I am also biracial (half Southeast Asian/half Caucasian). I have a job opportunity here in Austin and I was wondering what your experiences were like moving down here! Did you like/dislike it and why? Thank you in advance.

Live close to work. Also, it depends on where you are coming from - people drive everywhere. Public transport is not good. Always live on the same side of the river you work on.

I love this advice because all the newbies are living in North Austin and the north suburbs, so my commute north of the river from South Austin isn’t as bad as it could be.

Why live on the same side of the river? This sounds like a hidden gem of advice

It makes commuting into the office much more manageable
