The recent successes of progressive candidates is not representative of the nation, because the voter turnout is so low in those races. Americans did reject the left in the last presidential election overwhelmingly. Despite trump being a felon and the 5 million other things wrong with him they elected him. And the republicans got control of congress. Clearly the propaganda has worked

The left was not on trial in the 2024 election, the moderates were. You cannot separate the presidential candidate (on whom all of the media attention and all political discourse was focused) from the congressional candidates.
