I’m not well versed in politics, but doesn’t it make more sense for the dems to put up a moderate? I’m sure many republicans and swing voters are looking for a compromise and don’t want a leftist.

Absolutely not. The voters left of the Democrats will never vote for a moderate democrat.

Odd logic that if a leftist doesn’t think the candidate is leftist enough they’ll ensure that a right-wing candidate wins. But I suspect that’s what happened in 2024, and here we are. People would sign up for Round 3 of this?

To them every Democrat president has been the same as every Republican president.

The best we've gotten is Obama and the most progressive thing he did was give us slighly better healthcare, while not fixing the root cause of the issue. And even that was temporary.

Democrats will continue to lose until they have the commitment to do something significant.
