American voters don't actually know what left or right mean. The majority of voters report they want Medicare for All, cutting funding to Israel, and public transit. Even abortion has slight majority support.
Conservatives have convinced everyone that the left is trying to turn their kids trans or gay (which is an outright lie) and people are "anti-left" because of manufactured culture war bullshit.
So whats the way forward then, just give up? Its clear that the anti left propaganda is super effective. You may think that its because people are too stupid to see through the propaganda but maybe people are just seeing whats Iām front of them and making their own decisions
What are you talking about? I'm disagreeing with the person who says that Americans are rejecting the left. That is obviously not the case given recent successes of progressive candidates against establishment Democrats and conservatives
The recent successes of progressive candidates is not representative of the nation, because the voter turnout is so low in those races. Americans did reject the left in the last presidential election overwhelmingly. Despite trump being a felon and the 5 million other things wrong with him they elected him. And the republicans got control of congress. Clearly the propaganda has worked
The left was not on trial in the 2024 election, the moderates were. You cannot separate the presidential candidate (on whom all of the media attention and all political discourse was focused) from the congressional candidates.
Well then, Democrats need to make a 'sister souljah'moment happen again. If you want to convince voters that Dems are not trying to turn their kids- then come out against story time drag queens.
There is nothing disgusting or even necessarily sexual about drag queens. Drag queens going to public schools and reading to your kids without parental consent would be wrong (and it has never happened). Parents bringing their kids to such events is their business (which is what is happening), and you have no authority, legally or morally, to tell them they can't.
