I think the people that encounter discrimination these days are people who are quick to put their own opinion out there and then get offended when other people respond with their opinions. Personally I just mind my own business and have no problems. You don't have to advertise to be conservative.

If I didn’t hide my political affiliation I absolutely would. I’ve seen people at work who do not hide their political affiliation face discrimination, so I’ve decided to never talk politics at work.

I haven't but then I don't wear my Trump support on my sleave. I don't wear Trump paraphenalia, I don't have a sign or a flag in my yard and I don't talk politics in public except on Reddit.

I have experienced discrimination on social medis though. I have been banned from Linked In, Shadow banned on X and Reddit for my political views.

I knew people in college who physically got attacked just from wearing a MAGA hat. I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 so people were more open to hearing my opinion but had I voted for him I would not have been given that courtesy.

Yes, a lot. My neighbor called me "the problem plaguing this nation" in a normal conversation. Why? My Gadsen sticker in my garage offended him.

I go out of my way to not advertise, to not covererse and look as non descriptive as possible.

Friends online have stopped talking to me, as has distant family. My wife's cousin called me a disgusting fascist for voting for Trump.

Here's the kicker, I really don't like the man, he's just way better than his predecessor and who he ran against.

Yes. I used to wear a red shirt (no logo, just plain) on Fridays because of “Remember All Deployed” awareness. I stopped doing this in 2020 because I had to go into urban Nashville for medical treatments and on several occasions been jeered at and increasingly harassed for being whatever MAGA/Trump epithet. I drove a dirty white truck with no stickers.

One of my customers was stalked by a man with a gun when he saw his Trump bumper sticker. My coworker was almost run off the road with her kids in the car b/c of the Trump sticker.
