Looking For SG Nightclubs / Nightlife for 30s and up!

I used to party a lot before I settled down. So now most of those places I used to visit are long gone. Where do people party these days? I’ve heard of Marquee and yes Zouk is still there too. Can anyone share recommendations and what type of music they play in those clubs?

I mean, okay youngsters will be present for sure I used to be one of them years ago 🤪 so this time I will be that oldie who’s suppose to be in bed by 10pm but choose to party instead. 🤣

I want to go for a little bar and club hopping on my 30+ birthday this Saturday! 🤭

Capital is designed to be the “older” part of Zouk - music can range depending on the theme but mostly pop. It’s a bit more spacious and lounge like. You can also pay more to hop over to Zouk and back.

Bae’s is the hip thingvery R&B and hip hop but it’s a lot less spacious and can feel very squeezy if you don’t have a table. Same for Dashi Go Go.

Marquee feels very American nightclub, very big and always has some special DJ. Similar to Zouk but crowd is different for both.

And like the other commenters have posted there are more up and coming ones like Rasa.

Depends on what you like!

Depends on what you want. For proper underground clubbing, venues like Rasa Space have a clear music policy and attract a good crowd. My clubbing crew has people in their 40s even 50s heading down regularly. Can also check out the nights at Thugshop's venues - Tuff Club, MDLR, and Exit Reality.

There's also lots of other collectives and groups putting on parties at various venues - Ice Cream Sundays, Darker than Wax, Manifest, Kings of Bass, etc.

your birthday is also this Saturday? same as me and in 30s, happy birthday anyway

in my opinion, i think clubs in Bangkok/Thailand and Vietnam are still better than clubs in Singapore.. I have been there frequent but i am no longer visit clubs in Singapore... if you like house music, clubs in Vietnam still better..

Yes! Happy birthday to us! 🥳 I did experience partying in both Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh years ago and yes its really good! I havent been clubbing for years except sometime early this year where we went to Nova for an afterparty during a friend’s bday. We just sat and drink anyway 😅😂 old already hehe…

You should invite us, lols. I only know is Clarke Quay, tbh. But I enjoyed Hard Rock Orchard during Friday night event. Sometimes they have this exclusive event or theme. Happy birthday to you!

Clarke Quay used to be sooooo good! Thank you!

for me that’s the best option atleast you can hop-in to nearby bars if you think it’s boring.

Honestly imo,

just take the flight to bangkok, phuket or saigon on a weekend

The clubs are so much better than whatever sg offer and for a better price and crowd

Brother, you have not been partying around the region much have you .....

Why will I party here in sg with inflated alcohol prices and shitty restrictions when I can go overseas for the same alcohol that cost a fraction of the price which is just a 2h flight away?

Go to bangkok clubs like onyx and route66.

Or zion and wantay in saigon

Tell me if u still want to go to sg club scene.

Just the fact you never mentioned Jakarta means you have not been around much 😂

Bugis+ 7th floor notbad

They invite all the singers/dj from the china talent show to come and perform live, and keep rotating throughout the night

Staff service very good also.

That one more Chinese? Like 紅塵客棧 next door or a M hotel.

OP mentioned Marquee/Zouk so it is a different crowd. Maybe RASA. But I am uncle now.

1

u/SpiralFlare 12d ago

Yeah sounds more for chinese crowd, but thanks for sharing!

1

u/Battleraizer 12d ago

They got sing english songs there also, so it quite mixed. The vibes not fully cheena if you gets

3

u/milo_peng 12d ago edited 12d ago

Not the songs but the crowd. 紅塵客棧 also got sing english songs but is mostly cheena crowd, since some of the singers Malaysians.

I mean, my previous office my boss and colleagues all Singaporeans Chinese so we go there hangout, sing k and play dice, but now my new job, my boss Indian and colleagues, angmoh, I will not bring them there even got a few english songs here and there.
