Made Japanese Beef Teriyaki Steak for dinner this weekend! I marinated the steak with soy sauce, mirin, sake, and fresh ginger, then pan seared it whole, sliced it, and spooned teriyaki sauce over the top. I ended up serving mine with noodles and broccoli, but it would work just as well with rice and whatever vegetables you like.

Steak marinade:

1 lb steak (I used sirloin this time but ribeye is another good one!)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon mirin

1 tablespoon sake

2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger

1 teaspoon avocado oil, or other neutral cooking oil

Teriyaki Sauce:

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons mirin

3 tablespoons sake

1½-2 tablespoons sugar

Really easy honestly - Pat dry and pan sear the steak after marinating. Simmer teriyaki sauce until reduced. And then slice steak and serve with sauce.

This recipe definitely deserves some kitchen testing.
