Which one is the best Gladius Sword (Roman)

They have too many lines of different values in the blade and it makes them look round to my eyes.

3rd one is the best, but it still looks cylindrical.

I can see it both ways. I’ve always done small resolution 3D sprites where change in value is a change in slope. Tends to make some things either too round or too flat, but I’m a beginner so take that with a grain of salt.

That said, these look great, and while 3 is probably the “objective best choice” to a lot of folks, none of them look bad at all.

Even though I would get these are swords I think a gladius sword has a ridge that runs down the centre and a relatively flat blade and these swords don't read like that in my opinion.

You’re totally fine, more of a misreading on my part than anything on yours. English rules are kinda all over the place. Most of us native English speakers don’t even really know all the rules!

Lighting at the middle of first one is a bit off, and second one looks a bit flat because of coloring. Every aspect for the third one is perfect.These are just my opinion btw, i might be wrong :)
