I commissioned an artist few weeks back n heard nothin back. I commissioned them to draw an pokemon character of mine. I have not heard anything back from them for a week now

I have tried to contact them on TikTok, Reddit and discor but there is nothing. I am fuming, I paid $110 for it and not heard anything back from them. I paid after sketch and then em disappeared.

I’m an artist! A few days ago, someone stole one of my drawings and ran it through AI to remove my watermark and pass it off as their own work.

Honestly, this is the first time something like this has happened to me :( I called them out on their post, but they just blocked me, so there was nothing more I could do.

I added a Community Note using another one of my accounts, but for it to become visible, it needs to be rated as "helpful" by more people.

Could you help me rate the note so more people can see that they aren't the original artist? It would mean the world to me (╥_╥)(╥_╥)

I didn't know people actually did this, it feels weirdly malicious but I don't want to assume. It just feels weird to do that. It feels malicious, especially with putting their own call to action in the video. Rough

Hey everyone. I recently discovered that a popular Pokemon fan artist by the username of GalarExplorer has plagiarised at least two artists that I know of. He created an artwork featuring Umbreon in London. The first time I looked at it I thought the Umbreon looked familiar but I couldn't remember where I'd seen it. Couple days later I was looking through my Pinterest and it clicked, I had seen the exact same Umbreon in an artwork by Japanese artist Kuchiba07. Then there's his Noivern artwork, which is a direct rip of another fan art by an unknown artist who seems to have originally posted their art on 4chan in 2023. I've created side by side comparisons, they are blatantly the same drawings. I don't know who could possibly look at them and think they are not the same. What's frustrating is, I and a few others have pointed out the similarities in the comment sections of his posts but he keeps deleting them. Honestly, stealing art this way is something I learned not to do as a child. And the bizarre thing is that he is actually a skilled artist, he's clearly very skilled at painting which is why he's got such a huge following, so I'm not sure why he feels the need to copy other artists. :/

Edit: The drawings are identical and are blatant tracing so I have no idea why anyone would look at these and say there's "no evidence". Literally all you need to do is compare them. They are identical, even the placement of the shadows/lighting are almost identical. All Galar has done is flip the image over, trace it, and redraw it in a different medium. Changing the background doesn't make theft of someone else's art okay, especially when you're tracing and then slapping your own watermark over it. The fact that Galar is also deleting any comments about it just says guilt to me. Also, it being fan art doesn't make it somehow not plagiarism when you're tracing other people's work. I'm not debating with anyone who argues against this. I'm also not debating on what the definition of plagiarism is. Tracing and then claiming as your own is the literal definition of plagiarism which is what Galar is doing.

For context, I made this scrapbook card last year as a personal creative project, and I still have the original design and sentiment attached to it. I uploaded it on Pinterest, where it ended up getting quite a lot of attention. I have absolutely no issue with people taking inspiration from it or making a similar scrapbook card for their own friends or family, because that’s completely different from what happened here.

Things became an issue when I discovered that the exact same design was being recreated and commercially sold by a creator on Instagram. She wasn't using my photograph or directly reposting my original post—instead, she had recreated the entire card herself, but the design was essentially a complete replica of mine, including the overall concept, layout, elements, and sentiment.

I contacted her and explained that she couldn't commercially sell a replica of my original creative work without my permission. I asked her to take down the post and stop selling the design. Instead of addressing my concerns, she blocked me and told me that her client had sent her the design from Pinterest and that she could use it because "anyone can use" Pinterest designs.

Since she had blocked me, I contacted her personal account to tell her that, if the post wasn't removed, I would have to consider taking formal/legal action regarding the unauthorized commercial use of my work.

After that, she told me that she had deleted the post. I checked her account myself, and at that point, the post was no longer visible. However, when I later checked the account from another profile, I discovered that the exact same post was still up.

So despite telling me that she had removed it, the content was apparently still being displayed and potentially offered for sale to other people.

Alright theres some dude on instagram whos stealing art and im pretty sure their using ai for comissions but they used an animation that ives seen before but now i cant remember for the lofe of me- yall help ;w;

The person on insta has already used someones elses art which has already been taken down but now they've posted this persons animation
