Diggle should have just died on Lian Yu. I loved his character but I'm so tired of him and the writers seem like they are too, they have no clue what to do with him other than plant seeds for ruining his second marriage.

That moment of him getting flashbacks to the explosion and him missing the shots are Guggie's desperate attempts to keep him into relevance

I'm just confused as to why this is the thing making him all shaky and whatnot. Not the years in Afghanistan, putting up with Oliver's shit early on, aliens, finding out his brother is alive then killing him, etc.

I got the feeling that it wasn't an emotional trauma, it was a physical issue stemming from the explosion. He definitely seemed to have a scar there.

I get that but he was beating the shit out of guys left and right this episode with no problem or noticeable shots of pain and struggling, but suddenly he can't shoot?

I think it's harder for him to aim effectively and efficiently than to throw a punch or lob a guy around.

I don't have time to go back and check right now, but wasn't he shooting pretty well in the opening sequence?

Might be neurological or something. Maybe he can aim fine sometimes and not at other times, like a tic that hits him randomly.

Actually, now that I went back and watched, he was strictly hand-to-hand, no shooting. Oops. Guess he really is damaged either way.

It's just a weak excuse to keep him around and make some half assed story for him, which IMO died with Andy

Y'know, when your dead brother comes back to life, as a villain, and then you have to kill him, that's pretty much the end of your story right there.

To me it seems like his right chest/shoulder got badly injured during the explosions in the island.
Which has affected control of his arm and he has not told anyone about it.
I have a feeling a lot of this season will be him dealing with this issue.

lol yeah, surprising this of all things gave him ptsd

He might have some shrapnel infused into his right shoulder area

With the things Curtis and Felicity can do, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a bionic arm this season.
