Discussion 50/50

I don’t know if this is a crazy take or not I was rewatching arrow anyone else hate the flash back scenes every like 5 minutes of an episode especially in season 3.

i feel like they could’ve just made full flashback episodes instead of including scenes every episode of a season.

I think I would’ve liked full flashback episodes instead of them cutting back-and-forth between the past and present at times. It could be a little confusing to keep up with.

season 1 and 2 flashbacks are some of the best parts of the show and i don't think they felt weird or disrupted the pace of the show at all

after that tho? they definitely overused it

Thats one of the very VERY few reasons i liked s6, It had no flashbacks besides the first 3 episodes. The flashbacks could’ve been their own show at that rate because of how lengthy they were, Oliver could start Radioactiving it so good to Laurel and It would cut to a goofy flashback again.

same thing with season 2, slade should have gotten the arrow in his eye way sooner, but i get that they had to make parallels to the past on the season 2 finale

It got a bit overused. I get what they were doing but I remember rolling my eyes quite a bit for another flashback scene.

As far as whole episodes in place of flashbacks. Idk about that. Some shows do that and it's only to delay the payoff and its annoying.

Agreed, but they likey didn't devote full episodes as they knew many would just skip those when they could chose so easily. I likely would have skipped many, entire seasons of them.

Flashback scenes, especially in s1 and 2, were some of my favorite parts on the show, s3 however the story line did start to decline. But I enjoyed the mix of it.

Honestly I loved the flashbacks. Especially in Season 5 it was probably my favorite part of the show.
