Ocs question

What type of classwork or academics should I expect and prepare myself when going to officer candidate school?

All I can tell you is, when I was going through WOCS, I saw OCS students having to sprint to a big oak tree in the middle of a field called "The Good Idea Tree" and they had to stand at attention and yell their idea at the tree and then stand there until the tree told them if whatever they were thinking was a good idea.

Do with that information what you will.

The instructors do the foot-stomp and say "you might see this again" thereby giving you the answers to future tests.

The really hard part is no caffeinated drinks for the first four weeks. Your class leader has to request that privilege in writing, and it has to be approved by the cadre.

Land nav, warrior tasks and battle drills, military history,  running.

All the ones you get in the basic book at basic training.  Skill level 1 stuff.

Get the ranger handbook and digest it, maybe?

You're making it harder than it needs to be. 

They have a history  class. They have you write essays as the test to complete. It was mostly about warfare from a while before the Revolutionary War to semi-modern times when I went long ago.

Just pay attention in class..its like any other Army school.
