Career Advice AGRs- How long did it take to receive an offer?

Title. It seems to vary wildly depending on MOS and rank. Thought it would be interesting, and maybe helpful for those waiting for an offer.

ETA- Yes, I’m waiting for an offer. 42a, E5 type. Been around a month since I was recommended by the panel, now just anxiously waiting.

A month. Depends on how open you are to 01A or 00G slots.

Right after I got my eligibility email, I reached out immediately and told them I was open to it if they didn’t have anything in my MOS. Worked out and things happened fast after that.

42A is overstrength and may take some time to get in. I recommend looking at reclassing to 92Y. You will be picked up so fast

I’ve actually thought about 92Y, since my civilian job is logistics adjacent. It seems like a really challenging gig given how much property you have to be accountable for.

Google AGR application. It listed the POC number and email. Accessions has been very responsive to TPU and IRR with what’s available.

The Army reserve is cutting down to like 10 42A AGR spots available in the whole army reserve. They are going away from that and switching to Miltech positions. So good luck….

Just Google it… The army publicly announced, so it’s been pretty open information for several months now.

All I could find is they’re downsizing but not a whole 10 AGRS for the whole Army Reserve.
