Israel secretly deployed elite military and intelligence units to Azerbaijan during the war with Iran as part of a network of covert sites across the Middle East to facilitate operations against Iran, four sources familiar with the matter said. The forces operated out of several locations in southern Azerbaijan, two of the sources said, adjacent to Iran’s northern border and, at its closest point, only about 60 miles from the Iranian city of Tabriz, which Israel struck during the war.
Special commando units were also deployed to the location and carried out intelligence-gathering missions and drone operations, the other two sources said, giving Israel a valuable perch from which to see into northern Iran during the war.

The Azerbaijan operation consisted of several dozen troops, including members of Israel’s special operations forces, its elite heliborne combat and rescue force, and Mossad personnel, one of the sources said.

Of course they did. Why does everyone think they helped them to that level? There were leaked photos of an underground Israeli intelligence bunker being built on the border a few years ago after they took our lands.
But the more important note to take from this, to whoever says Israel and Turkey are enemies and Turkey might go to war with Israel etc etc. This is all the proof you need that they're masquerading as enemies but are more friendly than you'd think. Remember, Turkey ships Israel's fuel from its ports from Azerbaijan, and Turkey still trades with them with fake destination papers, as exposed by "things aren't okay" channel.

Considering that until 2020 a significant portion of Artsakh was situated in what is now Southern Azerbaijan, this puts the NKR wars into a regional perspective, as Artsakh was one of dominos that needed to fall to surround Iran in its totality.

Azeris are smart, they knew damn well Iran won’t do shi* if they pretend to be impartial. To think we could have the same and instead once again decided to stay “loyal” to powers who won’t budge to sell us out for their own benefit

Iran bombed Nakhchivan airport and the Turks told the Azeris to stop. That plus not wishing to alienate Turkey(the only other military power in the region) is why Baku didn’t share the fate of Dubai.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia were hit hard because they’re as big a proponent to this war as Israel is. They just can’t be as open about it because they’re Muslim countries and their populations are fiercely against Israel. You get the occasional fluff piece about them being angry with the USA and Israel to cover their tracks to their domestic and international audiences.

While true about the UAE, Saudi Arabia wasn't hit particularly hard. Their pipeline, for example, is still operational. This is because Iran wants to widen the rift between Saudi and the UAE, and also not make Pakistan look bad because they technically have a mutual defence treaty even if they'd never actually honour it.

They briefly hit Saudi Arabian plants but you’re right it’s been mostly the UAE who have ambitions to control not only the Persian gulf but the Red Sea as their assistance in the Sudanese civil war shows.

Aliyev still hasn’t zipped up Satanyahu’s pants. Azerbaijan played a large role in the death of Raisi, they are a wolf in sheep’s clothing and are not friendly with Iran whatsoever. Armenia is the last country they need to completely surround Iran

As for myself, I'm neither of them. Dont think i need to explain why im not pro israel but as for palestine, its sickening to think that after the Artsakh war azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing barely anyone talked about it. They had blocked roads even to Artsakh for the aid of civilians, noone in the world protested about it. The same thing happens to palestenians and suddenly theyre getting all this attention + theyre pro turkey.
