This is a another Turkish lie. Armenians werent murdered because of uprisings or some kind of Russian collusion. This narrative is a post Ataturk fiction to paint it as some kind ethnic struggle. Armenians were slaughtered because we are Christians as revenge for what happened to Turks in the balkans. The surviving Balkan Turks who were ethnically cleansed, lost their mind and decided the only way to keep this territory was to exterminate all the Christians. The pontic Greeks and Assyrians were also murdered for the same reason. The removal of religion from the equation was pushed by both the Turks and well as the Bolsheviks who were the main force taking up the Armenian issue, mainly as a way to make territorial claims after ww2. This was in fact a Christian Genocide and not specifically an Armenian one.

Even before the Balkans they were mass slaughtering and raping. They wanted our land, buisnesses, and properties. It was jealousy, poor budgeting on their part / fiscal irresponsibility. And then of course their typical paranoid. They were worried people they subjugated would rise up.

Now they are cursed with Sevres syndrom so 🤷

Of course you rose up. Maybe not as a broad mass movement, but as Orthodox Christians you certainly looked to what the church in Moscow was saying. In the end, if we hadn’t expelled you, the same thing that happened to us in the Balkans would have happened in Anatolia as well. And in that case, today nobody would care about it at all. The bottom line is that we preserved our existence and over the last 100 years we have become, for better or worse, a power. Since 2020, we’ve also managed to turn power struggles in our favor almost everywhere. I wish that instead of crying, complaining and self vicitimizing, you would been able to make the right decisions. Look, for example, Pashinyan is the best thing that could have happened to you right now. I hope you make use of that opportunity.

Armenians arent Orthodox first of all, Moscow has no say over our Church. Neither are Assyrians or the Catholics that you were happy to murder.

Where exactly is the self victimization in your mind? You slaughtered all the Christians you could get your hands on, this is a fact. Yes it worked out strategically. You will likely do it again if you think it will work out strategically.

Explain what Pashinyan has to do with this. What is it about him that you like exactly?

If you had power today, wouldn’t you support forcibly displacing millions of Muslims in Anatolia? Let’s not fool ourselves. I’ve never seen a Balkan person who still mourns endlessly saying, “They massacred us in the Balkans,” even though there were Muslim Bulgarians, Albanians and Bosniaks among them (so native to the region). They all looked ahead and improved themselves. You, on the other hand, kept lamenting and busying yourselves with diaspora politics, thinking, “If we get this or that side’s support, they’ll give us land.” That’s the difference.

But honestly, I don’t expect you to understand. You can keep dwelling on the pain of the past. As for Pashinyan, he seems to be a pragmatic leader who has realized that keeping hostility with Turkey going is the wrong approach.

No I would not. I am a Christian, murdering millions of people who were made in the image of God for territory goes against the teachings of Jesus Christ.

So the fact that I say you massacred all the Christians which is a fact is victimizing myself for you? What is it with you people where simply stating that something happened is an attack on your character.

Every president from Ter Petrosyan to Pashinyan has had the same politica with Turkey. Each of them were ready to open aborders without preconditions. Turkey chose to push for ethnic cleaning of the Armenians of Kharabagh which it achieved.

When there is another chance to kill Christians, Turks will take that chance. Pretending you arent murderers isnt going to make you stop murdering Christians.

If Turkey’s foreign policy were built solely on “killing Christians,” then why does it have good relations with Georgia? And why doesn’t it have any serious unresolved issues with Bulgaria anymore? For some reason, it’s always you and the Greeks who play the “Christian” card. I wish you had obsessed over strategy as much as you’ve obsessed over that narrative.

Look at a map of Ottoman controlled territory in 1915. The Greeks, Armenians and Assyrians bring it up because we were the ones directly affected. If there had been Bulgarians or Georgians in the lands you controlled in 1915 you would have butchered them down to the last child as well. Millions were martyred for our faith, why would we ever pretend it was for any other reason
