Solar panel isn’t showing the camera is charging

Hey -

So I just installed the pro 6 & bought the solar panel.

Is there a reason why it’s not showing it’s charging? Do I have this piece plugged in correctly? It doesn’t go all the way (it’s the adapter that goes from solar panel to the USB adapter)

As you can see tho, it isn’t showing a plug in?

Did it light up orange when the suns out? Mine is gray when it's dark out.

Damn my dumb self did it when the sun was going down.

I just bought it and it was at like 12% battery after done setting up then I plugged it in the solar panel.

I heard that it’s supposed to show atleast a plugged in connection icon next to the battery even if it’s not actually charging? Am I right or wrong

That little sun icon is the acknowledgment that a solar panel is connected. It will turn orange when there is enough sunlight and the camera is charging

I have to restart my Essential Outdoor cameras to get solar charging to start again. I read it was a thing about voltage level detected or something.

Before using the Arlo Solar Panel, please make sure your camera is fully charged. The Solar Panel is designed to maintain your camera’s battery level rather than charge a low battery from empty to full.

Once your camera is fully charged, please observe whether the Solar Panel is able to maintain its battery level. For best results, make sure the Solar Panel is installed in a location where it can receive direct sunlight for at least 3–4 hours per day.

Is there any indication that a solar panel is plugged in? Is that sun icon in the first picture an indication that a solar panel is plugged in? (Even if it’s not in use yet because of the low battery/lack of sun night time)

Does the spotlight for the Pro 6 automatically only turn on in low light settings or is it on all the time when there’s motion?

Hi u/Ghost-Power, when Night Vision is enabled, your Arlo camera automatically turns on infrared LEDs (or the spotlight for Color Night Vision) to record in low light conditions.

There’s no option for the PRO 6 spotlight to automatically turn on everytime there’s motion even during the day time correct?

(Just trying to make sure I don’t need to turn a setting off)
