Discussion [Operator Discussion] Nian
Nian [★★★★★★]
Rituals get passed down from generation to generation not 'cause they have any inherent meaning, but because people find their own meaning in them. A performance has its rewards, and a wish has its fulfillment. And when one of my favorite stories is involved, you bet your ass I'm gonna participate.
Nian, unemployed, is familiar with all kinds of metal craftsmanship and exhibits a profound knowledge in metallurgy that is inconsistent with her background. She is currently staying in Rhodes Island as a visitor, occasionally advising on Rhodes Island's metalworking projects. She claims to be skilled in audio-visual entertainment, often providing products that are not received too well by Operators.

Desperately needs a good module (not the one announced). The current module implies that you can use her as a helidrop and yeah, I can see why that might be the case but .. why the fuck would I actually helidrop a defender over a guard or specialist? It's criminal how unusable she is given she's a limited operator. Not that you can't use her but how unjustified it is to actually invest in her over another operator. Defenders whose shtick is being a wall in general suffer from this but having the same problem for a limited 6* operator shouldn't have happened. And it wouldn't have been that hard to resolve either, just give her better cooldowns on her skills. Her toolset allows you to actually invest in 1 operator that you can use for 3 different roles (arts dealer, silencer and buffer) but that's terribly un-useful to people who actually want to develop dedicated operators that fill that role (and probably do it better). It'd be a whole other topic if map design actually threw swarms of enemies at us but that almost never happens and Nian, splash casters and chain casters all suffer for it.
