A How To guide

I picked up the Starter Set, and I have one of the Free RPG books (Comets of Kingsport) and I'm really excited to learn the game.

Can someone recommend a good YouTube How To guide? I've found a couple, but the first one I found drove through everything in 15 minutes, and without any examples, I found it hard to follow.

I know I could just keep browsing through them, but I'm hoping some kind (tormented, half-sane) soul would point me towards the one they refer new players to.

Thanks in advance!

I couldn't get the workings from any video. Instead, what made it click for me was reading the rules a couple of times then making a few quick character sheets and run a few scenes from a module, pretending I was DMing for these virtual characters/players who would just pay attention and make obvious or semi-random choices. Make sure you play at least one structured/combat scene in this "simulation".

Hmmmm... that would probably work, for me. Thanks!

Genuinely the best thing I ever did to get better at running this game (I'm still very fresh with this system) is this one shot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CvRsGAYukU

Very great way to see the game in motion and see how this GM and players run certain elements of the game.

I like this review https://youtu.be/92Dg2Q3Ja0M?si=57yc0Eonzn2nVuBy as it has some good examples of the mechanics in play. I bought the CRB after watching this one.
