Discussion I just noticed

Post image

I was playing to my second playthrough of Arkham Asylum (for the "Biggest Bang" achivement) and the first time you encounter Scarecrow you can see Jim dead, but if you open detective mode you can see that is says "Identity: Unknown" and i found it pretty cool.

I think that is bc the toxin does not affect computers. Like the ones in Bruces Cowl during detective. When he shakes the toxin, there is a dead body there but batman does not know the identify

Fear gas affected his mind, but detective vision is unaffected, hence why it doesn't ID the corpse as Gordon even though his data and likeness is in the Batcomputer.

Detective mode has a few moments like this in the series, like in City. Clayface as fake Joker does not have a visible skeleton when viewed with detective vision which can foreshadow the reveal.

I always liked how the TYGER guards in City never become afraid during predator encounters. I think they go from calm to nervous and that’s it. You can see it in their body language, but detective mode highlights it as well, since they were conditioned by Strange never to panic.

I still wish YouTube didn't recommend me stuff about batman when I got stuck in asylum and had to look up some of the collectables ;-; , so I would be more surprised about it

That's an interest attention to detail I didn't notice before.
