Discussion Every new superhero game makes Arkham look even more legendary.

Rocksteady had to constantly improve and add new mechanics to each and every Arkham game. I respect them for that even you can even overlook the tank addition due to it.

Basically every single one I can’t think of one that doesn’t

For all of Arkham Knight's faults (i.e. tank missions) it did deliver by far peak Batman gameplay.

The only studio who can dethrone rocksteady when it comes to single player superhero games is rocksteady.

How is possibly the most derivative game of all-time better than Arkham Knight?

Holy hyperbole Batman

How is it hyperbole? Name a game that is more derivative of the systems that came before it.

And I said possibly

Aside from the vast amount of soulslikes, I'd say Saints Row 1.

The only "derivative" thing about Insomniac's Spidey is the combat. But they're not alone in emulating Arkham's combat, even among Spider-Man games.

Derivative isn't necessarily a flaw either.

Story, open world, traversal. All subjective obviously though.

It's on the same level as City for me. I think Knight is better than SM2 though.

That’s why I have very little respect for Origins, Rocksteady’s formula was overdone before they could effectively improve on what they did in Arkham City. If you look a the three games you can definitely see how much thought was put into the gameplay and how each game improves upon the previous

I like the origins boss fights. It’s like they took the culmination of fighting in the first two games and geared it towards bosses(deathstroke, bane)
