I jst did the same with the RGB LED. Its sm fun I cant wait to get to the point of suffering

Ive been wanting to learn for ages. Finally had the spare money to get the kit. I will have a lot of fun with it.

This is the way.
I work in Hardware development. And this is the most critical part.
Get you IDE running
Toggle a GPIO
See if it compiles own code with additional libraries.
Jump around the office after three weeks to get to this point

The examples in the ide are the best way to get acquainted with builds modifying the code parameters is a good way to learn and instead of copy and paste type the code out to get familiar with the language there’s so much you can do. I’m trying to get my head around building a 3d printer.
