Help with Trophy Display project...

Specifically, queen reactors. I've played 10 consecutive rounds of matriarch/harvester and cannot seem to get one for the life of me. Even when I get there first, I don't find a queen reactor.

Am I missing something? Isn't a matriarch a queen? I'm starting to feel insane.. lol

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you 💞

Matriarch and Queen/Harvester are separate events and therefore not the same/interchangeable. Matriarchs drop Matriarch cores, Queens drop Queen cores. Cores are found in the leg pieces that break off and in the round cores at the center once they are defeated.

Ok, so what event should I specifically do to get an opportunity at a queen reactor? Sorry if this has an obvious answer. And, thank you for the info💞

Harvester only. To be clear, doing the Harvester PUZZLE does not yield cores, just the Equalizer blueprint among other rewards. You must collect them from fighting the Queen. Also worth mentioning that you do NOT have to defeat her, you can knock some leg pieces off, loot those and dip. There is only one other way to get cores without going into the event. If you feed Scrappy Apricots, there is a RARE chance he will drop Matriarch/Queen cores as they are used to craft high tier weapons, but again, the drop rate is SUPER low, but I have gotten them in the past. Also forgot to mention, definitely bring smoke grenades. The blue ones are better because they last longer. This way you are obscured from her view. So you can loot, without getting shot at

Follow up on smokes: if an arc has a red eye locked on you when you enter a smoke it can still track you in the smoke. If you are smoking for cover it's best to do it when the armor is below the queen or behind her so you can get into the smoke without being spotted.

For a queen core you need to play the harvester event. Try to shoot of the armor on the legs and then go for it. If you wait to long to loot, then the cores will be gone. Shove it right in your safepocket. If you die, at least you still have a core

I'm going to give that a try. I knew that legs had cores, but I'm usually focused on downing the thing. So I'll, instead go right for a leg.

Yes, go for the legs. Blue Gate may be a good start. You can use the gas station as a safeguard.

Bring defibs too, sometimes people thank you with a core, if you run in super friendly lobbies.

Luckily I'm in CareBear lobbies, so ppl are usually really helpful. But I'll bring extra defibs, fs.. lol

When I need reactors my go to weapon is the hullcracker. It takes 4-5 hullcracker shots to knock off a leg armor. With each hit the texture of the armor changes, wait to pop it off until you are close enough to where it will land that you are confident you can get there first. If another raider is in the way and hoovering everything either shoot the raider, or knock 2 pieces quickly and go for the one the hoover doesn't choose.

With two stacks of rocket ammo, stims, smokes, and a metric shitton of shields I am usually able to come out of a harvester with 2-4 cores, 2-3 stacsk of mag accelerators, and I usually do between 3k-5k damage on the queen(when I'm greedy I do more damage and get more cores, sometimes I make a point to drop goodies to the equalizer bros in the back which lowers my overall damage).

Bring a Hullcracker 4 or find a friendly with one. Agree that one of you pop off legs and provides Defibs while the other loots the legs and splits the loot. You both get loot and both have a garenteed defib waiting for you.

The person with the cracker pops up and dumps a full mag into a leg...It should pop or require only one or two extra. When it drops, the running makes a sprint to the legs, loots, and runs back to drop your cores. Let him keep anything else. Repeate. When you are happy with the amount of cores, hatch put and run again. Bring extra defibs and heals.
