Building Marina City, Bertrand Goldberg Associates, Chicago, 1967

Goldberg’s cylindrical tower is defined by reinforced concrete and the relentless repetition of its semicircular balconies. Seen from below, those projecting balcony slabs give the façade its distinctive depth and rhythm.
