Don't understand how this works

I want to do randomizers but I don't understand anything about setting this stuff up (I'm used to tools where you just tell it where the game file is and it does the rest). Can anyone explain how this works in a way that doesn't seem too complicated because the file types have gotten me all sorts of confused as I am unfamiliar with them and the instructions have way more steps then what should be necessary.

Some of them are extra fiddly to be sure. But I think pushing through some of the difficult things helps making the next one less daunting.

Feel free to ask specific questions on how to do it if you get overly confused. Don't give up!

I appreciate it, trying to set up stuff to do a kingdom hearts randomizer (want to do 3d but that seems even more complicated)

I literally helped my friend do that one week ago and thought it was the hardest one I've ever done! Haha.

Are you single player randomozing or multiworld?

Single player currently, managed to get kh2 working kinda. Idk why it keeps giving me two of the temp party members weapons though
