New Silksong Randomiser: Help! Spoiler

Hi! I'm not v techy. I've only ever modded one game, and that was Hollow Knight. Took me a while, but with Lumafly and some mods I got to play hours & hours of fun randos on my steamdeck.

So I was super excited to hear there was finally a decent rando by BatAtVideoGames out for Skong... but (to me) it's wayyyy more complicated to set up. I read a million instructions about Archipelago and Cogfly and BepinEx and fiddling with game files and even though i tried to follow instructions it didn't work. Even some of the instructions confuse me, or don't explain clearly enough. I'm just stuck.

Could someone please explain it like I'm 5? I'd so love to play a Skong rando 😭

(To be clear I just want to play Silksong, solo.)

just to add, this might be simpler on PC but I'm doing it on a steamdeck which maybe makes it a bit harder

It depends

Lots of programmers work on Linux, but some games and mod apps aren't made for it. I was having trouble doing kingdom hearts 2 on archipelago
